Why BookMaMe may share data
BookMaMe may share relevant data where reasonably necessary to operate the platform, including with:
- the relevant partner, customer, rider, or delivery company involved in a transaction or workflow
- payment providers and payment-processing partners
- logistics and fulfilment participants involved in the request, order, or booking
- support, operations, compliance, fraud, accounting, or service providers acting for BookMaMe
- lawful authorities, investigators, regulators, or courts where legally required or appropriate
We do not treat platform visibility or limited data sharing for operational purposes as a transfer of full legal responsibility between parties. Data sharing is limited by operational need, platform design, and applicable law.
Location and logistics data
Some BookMaMe flows rely on location and fulfilment data, especially for:
- delivery-enabled marketplace orders
- parcel delivery requests
- address selection and saved addresses
- rider and delivery-task coordination
- failed-delivery and return handling
Location-related data may therefore be used to:
- identify the service area or country context
- match eligible delivery companies or fulfilment options
- support tracking, handoff, and delivery confirmation workflows
- investigate delivery disputes, retries, returns, or support cases
Notifications and contact channels
BookMaMe may use available contact channels to provide:
- order, booking, and parcel updates
- payment and refund notices
- support responses
- delivery or handoff notifications
- legal, safety, or compliance communications
Depending on the workflow, this may include:
- in-app notifications
- SMS or other supported message channels
Operational notification records may also be retained for audit, support, fraud prevention, or service troubleshooting purposes.
Security and risk management
BookMaMe may use personal data to:
- protect accounts and sessions
- detect fraud, abuse, evasion, or suspicious activity
- enforce platform policy
- investigate complaints, disputes, or incidents
- maintain audit trails for operational and compliance review
Security and moderation controls reduce risk, but they do not mean every unlawful or unsafe activity can be detected before it occurs.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your jurisdiction and the way you use the platform, you may be able to:
- update account and profile information
- manage some notification preferences
- request access to certain information
- request correction of inaccurate information
- request deletion, subject to legal, operational, fraud-prevention, accounting, or audit-retention limits
Some data may need to be retained even after an account is closed or a request is made, where the platform has legal, financial, security, fraud, operational, or dispute-resolution reasons to keep it.
