Browsing and Placing an Order

Version: v1.0
Last Updated: June 6, 2026

How to browse restaurant and shop marketplaces, place an order, and understand the separate second-hand purchase flow.

For parcel delivery, see Parcel Delivery Requests.

Discovering restaurants and shops

You can:

  • browse from the home page
  • search for a restaurant, shop, dish, or product
  • filter by location, category, rating, and other marketplace-specific options

What you see depends partly on the location and fulfillment context you have selected.

Selecting items

  1. Open a restaurant or shop
  2. Tap an item to view it
  3. Choose any variants or options
  4. Set the quantity
  5. Add it to your cart

For delivery-enabled products, the app may also be working with hidden delivery metadata behind the scenes, which can affect what delivery companies appear later.

Managing the cart

From the cart you can:

  • review the items
  • change quantities
  • remove items
  • continue to checkout

Each cart is tied to one seller/partner at a time, so starting a different order may require clearing the current cart first.

Choosing fulfillment

At checkout, you usually choose between:

  • delivery
  • customer pickup

The available options depend on the partner and the item.

For delivery:

  • the available delivery companies or delivery methods may vary
  • not every item or variant is eligible for every delivery setup

For pickup:

  • you collect directly from the partner
  • payment-at-pickup methods may appear where supported

Payment and vouchers

Before placing the order, review:

  • the delivery or pickup method
  • the address or collection details
  • any voucher you want to apply
  • the payment methods currently available

The payment methods shown depend on the partner, country, currency, and fulfillment method.

See Payment Methods and Gift Vouchers.

Confirming the order

Before confirming, the summary usually shows:

  • items
  • quantities
  • any options or variants
  • delivery/pickup method
  • fees and discounts
  • total amount

After placing the order, you receive an in-app confirmation and can follow the next steps from the order detail.

Second-hand purchases

Second-hand works differently from a restaurant/shop cart.

Browsing listings

You browse individual listings rather than building a normal multi-item cart.

Listings may show:

  • photos of the actual item
  • condition notes
  • seller-supplied description
  • sale price, or that the item is free

Purchasing

When you decide to take a listing:

  1. Open the listing
  2. Review the item and seller details
  3. Follow the purchase/claim flow for that specific item

This is normally a single-item purchase flow, not a restaurant/shop-style basket.

Fulfillment

Depending on the listing, you may choose:

  • delivery
  • pickup

The later tracking flow also differs from a normal shop/restaurant order because the seller and buyer are both marketplace users, and the item moves through seller dispatch and buyer confirmation steps.

Payment

Second-hand purchases usually rely on online payment rather than broad cash-on-delivery support.

Support and disputes

If the delivered item does not match the listing, keep the evidence and open a support request from the order detail.

Parcel delivery is separate

If you want to send a parcel from one address to another, do not use the normal order flow. Use the dedicated parcel flow instead:
