Team and Staff Management

Version: v1.0
Last Updated: May 30, 2026

How to control who can access your partner account and what they can do. This shared guide applies to all partner types.

Why staff management matters

Controlling access protects your sales data, prevents unauthorised order actions, and keeps your payout account secure. Give each team member the least access their job needs — and remove access promptly when someone leaves.

Roles

Three roles apply across all partner types:

RoleAccess
OwnerFull access — settings, payout account, team management, and all operations
ManagerAll operational sections (orders, catalogue, bookings) but cannot change the payout account or invite/remove staff
StaffLimited operations (accept orders, update status) but cannot view finance reports, change settings, or manage the team

The owner role is the primary account holder created during onboarding.

Inviting a team member

  1. Go to Settings → Team & Permissions
  2. Click Invite team member
  3. Enter their email address and select a role (manager or staff)
  4. Click Send invitation

They receive an email with a link to create their account and set a password.

Pending invitations

Invitations that haven't been accepted yet show as pending. You can resend the invitation from the same screen (invitations expire after a set window).

Editing a team member's role

  1. Go to Settings → Team & Permissions
  2. Open the team member and Edit their role
  3. Promote a staff member to manager, or change a manager to staff, and save

Role changes take effect on their next sign-in.

Removing a team member

  1. Go to Settings → Team & Permissions
  2. Click Remove next to the member → confirm

Access is revoked immediately. Their historical actions (orders handled, changes made) remain in the records — removing someone doesn't erase what they did.

If a staff member loses their login

They must use the password reset flow themselves — only they can reset their own password. As the owner you cannot see or reset another member's password; you can only resend an invitation or remove/re-add them.

If the owner account is compromised

Contact BookMaMe support immediately. Never share owner credentials — the owner can change the payout account and manage the whole team, so a compromised owner account is a serious risk.

Per-type notes

  • Delivery companies manage their rider accounts separately — see rider management in the Delivery Company Guide, which is distinct from this partner-staff flow
  • Second-hand sellers typically operate solo but can add managers if they grow a team
