Booking status flow
pending → accepted → in_progress → completed
Step 1 — Receiving a booking
When a customer books, you receive a push notification and the booking appears in Bookings with status pending. Open it to see the service, professional, date/time slot, location, and any customer notes.
Step 2 — Accepting or rejecting
- Open the booking
- Review the slot and details
- Tap Accept booking → status
accepted
If you cannot fulfil it (no professional available, outside coverage), tap Reject and select a reason. The customer is notified and refunded automatically.
Step 3 — Starting the service
When the professional begins the job at the scheduled slot:
- Tap Start → status
in_progress - The customer sees the service is underway
Marking the service started is the record that the professional showed up — important for any later no-show dispute.
Step 4 — Marking complete
When the work is done:
- Tap Mark complete → status
completed - Collect payment if the customer is paying at service (cash/card at service): collect the amount, then mark payment collected
- Completion triggers settlement of your earnings
Disputed completion
If the customer disputes that the service was completed satisfactorily:
- The platform cannot verify service quality directly
- Keep any evidence (photos of completed work, the started/completed timestamps)
- Direct the customer to BookMaMe support; quality disputes are resolved case by case, and a goodwill credit may be offered if both sides agree
Exceptions
| Situation | What to do |
|---|---|
| Customer unreachable at the slot | Log the contact attempt and escalate to the reschedule/cancel path (see Reschedule and Cancellation) |
| Professional cannot attend | Reschedule or reassign before the slot; do not leave the booking to lapse |
| Quality dispute after completion | Direct to support with evidence |
