Dispatch and Handoff
Version: v1.1
Last Updated: May 30, 2026
App Menu Path
My Second-hand Orders → order tracking → Ready for dispatch → Start rider handoff
Required Access
- Seller-side ownership of the order
- Order in an actionable status
Status flow
confirmed → ready_for_dispatch → handoff_requested → picked_up / in_transit
Step 1 — Mark ready for dispatch
- Open the
confirmedorder in My Second-hand Orders - Pack the item securely
- Tap Ready for dispatch → status
ready_for_dispatch
This signals the platform to arrange rider pickup.
Step 2 — Start rider handoff
When the rider is on the way / has arrived:
- Tap Start rider handoff → status
handoff_requested - Follow the prompted handoff steps
Note: the Start handoff action only appears after you've marked the order ready for dispatch — if you don't see it, mark ready first.
Step 3 — Handoff PIN
When the rider arrives:
- Ask for the rider's PIN
- Verify it matches the code shown on your order tracking screen
- Hand over the packed item only after the PIN matches
- Confirm the handoff → status moves to
picked_up/in_transit
Never hand over the item if the PIN does not match. Open a support case instead.
If the rider does not show
- Check the rider/ETA status on the order tracking screen
- Wait the indicated window
- If the rider doesn't arrive, open a support case with the order reference — the platform will re-dispatch
Confirming pickup complete
Once the PIN is verified and you've handed over the item, the handoff is complete and the buyer can track the delivery. Your part is done until/unless a return or failed delivery occurs (see Return, Retry, and Cancellation).
Exceptions
| Situation | What to do |
|---|---|
| "Start handoff" appears too early | It shouldn't appear before ready_for_dispatch; mark ready first or refresh |
| PIN mismatch | Do not hand over; open a support case |
| Rider no-show | Open a support case for re-dispatch |
